Can baby ducks eat apples?

Tiny lil pieces with out peeling may appeal to them, but before you offer anything other than their starter feed you need to give them chick grit. not in their feed though or they may eat too much, just sprinkle some on the bottom of their brooder and they will eat it as they need it. Grit is the only way they can eat any other food source since they don't have teeth for chewing. another thing duckling seem to love is peas, frozen lil green peas thawed and mashed.
