Baby fantail pigeon about 6 to 8 weeks old. He was able to waddle around just fine up until yesterday afternoon. I took a video of him which you can see here. I didn't witness any injuries, and he has been in the nesting box with his parents from day one. I am able to palpate the entire leg including stifle, hock and foot without a pain response, however he refuses to use the leg to bare weight. No fever or swelling can be felt. I went ahead and stared him on polyvisol just in case its a vitamin issue. I am hoping other breeders can see this video and offer suggestions and advice. Thank you so much!

If you had noticed this when it was first evident he could have made a complete recovery with this method. Now at this late date he will improve but I am guessing he will never be 100% I adapted this method for my pigeons who suffer from spayed leg some what I thread the pop straw as shown but then looped two zip ties on either end as large as possible through either end of the elastic. Then tightened them on to each leg to fit.
