Baby Flying Squirrel......help please.

Quote:
"Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana, Oregon, and California are among the U.S. states that disallow the possession or breeding of flying squirrels with no exceptions."

Also my understanding of Fl law is that you can have a squirrel as a pet so long as you have proof it came from a breeder an not from the wild. Not from Florida so wouldn't know how they enforce it.

Well my plan if he makes it to maturity to let him live in the yard. Lord knows I don't need another pet! Hopefully the hawks, owls, and other such critters don't get him if he does get to the point of being outside. (Doubt it but you have to hope!)

Over the years I have probably broken plenty of WF laws but can't stand to see a little one not makeit. I picked up a fawn a few years back the mama was road kill and finally found someone to take it. I will see if I can find a pic of it. Too cute!

from what i was reading earlier on the net if it is fully fured it is older than 5 weeks old if i read that right. i'll have to see if i can find the 2 things i was looking at earlier had some good info on it like preditors and age developements and what they eat let me see if i can find them again.
