Baby Foxes

I hate the dam things I lost my entire flock to fox kill in one night /morning it took 3 and bit the heads the others and left them they need to bring culling
Yesterday night we almost ran over some baby foxes. Wish we did.

Is there any way to protect our chickens from them? Last year I lost a hen to one.

I read that putting cloths with vinegar helps.

If you where my dad,

Well he would say Shot gun, Lily.
But,
I'm not my dad, And nor are you.
I use tin pans, Radios, And old CD's.Plus Deer Netting, Chicken wire and Wire Mesh(redoing the pen for it to be entire Wire Mesh, tho)Never seen a fox 'round ever since I stopped free-ranging, UNLESS they where under supervision and put the radios out.
But, since they are kits, It might be easy to use a Hav-A-Hart Trap, And relocate them somewhere else, far away.....
Worse comes to worse, *gulp*Shot gun.

:hugs So sorry for your loss.I had a fox take a Drake ounces, and then a Pullet another Time...

The garbage bag trick does sounds interesting... might try it out. I'm willing to try anything to save my chickens.

The rooster won't help with anything will it?
I think I had my roosters out with them at the time. Like, all 40 of them. hmm.png

I'm not sure a person could get close enough to them with a shotgun. 22 yes.

We don't have any radios or anything like that. But if you relocate them someone else would have the same problem. I would just drown them in our pond. That's what we've done with coons and skunks. I would totally use a gun but we don't have a licence or anything. One of my friends has a BB gun so I could ask him if he could keep an eye out. I guess I'm lucky that I just lost one hen so far to a fox.
