Baby Goat Help Needed!!!!

Goat kid feeding is so confusing. We just bought a bag of Manna-Pro Nurse All or whatever, should we use it on the kids we will have in a few days?

My grocery store here sells goats milk in the refrigerated section, next to the cows milk. I have raised many baby pygmies on this. It is very easy too because there is no mixing involved, just pour into a bottle. (This is fresh goats milk, not the canned). Good luck.

Ok we picked up some probias and some medicine just incase she develops scours.

She is cute! I would go ahead and give her the probios now, if she were mine. I give probios anytime I get an animal from an auction, or do a feed change or treat with antibiotics. The powdered kind is inexpensive and I would rather be proactive than reactive when it comes to scours or belly upsets.
What is that on top of her head?

That is probably her auction number given to her when she was brought in to be auctioned off. Most times I have seen by the time the animal is led onto the auction floor the tag has fallen off.

When I have needed it I have used the Purina kid/lamb milk replacer. My bottle babies did great with it. land o lakes makes an a great product as well. I prefer to keep the smaller bucket on hand so that I have milk if needed in a pinch.

Also another great site that basically deals with most animals is www.goatTalk.com its a great site and there alot of BYC'ers there also...lots of info too...no offence BYC...I love it here also but goattalk was my first place when I needed help...good luck
