Baby is already a jerk -_-

Really? I didn't order a leghorn lol.... That's why I assumed she was the Delaware. I've only got 3 yellow chicks, and the other 2 have a reddish tinge to them, so I assumed those were the New Hampshires.
Lol, well, see the two chicks in my ID photo?
They were SUPPOSED to be Buff Orpingtons. The one on the right is. The one on the left, uh no. And she was noisy and hyper from day one. At two weeks she had white wings and was FLYING out of the brooder. She hated me and carried on a fit anytime I had to work with them even when I was bringing FOOD.
She is seven weeks old now and she is still crazy.

They're adorable! So, what I'm hearing is, she's gonna always be the brat 😂

Yeah I was just googling and that's what I was seeing. Only reason I didn't want a leghorn was due to winters (Northern NJ here) and seeing you're supposed to protect their combs. First time out, I wanted to try for the easiest to care for chickens, as a precaution lol. I guess I'll know for sure in a few months!
You can apply Vasiline to the comb.

Do you have pictures. Hopefully they didnt send sexlinks. The white ones will be male if so

I have a leghorn and I’m in MA and she’s done fine. :) though of course last year was pretty mild for us but still. I don’t do anything special for any of my chickens. As long as they have a dry, well ventilated coop with no drafts they should be fine. Dry is the key. Moisture is a much bigger problem than cold.

Mine is pretty friendly and curious but yes very personable and sassy 😂🤣 she has no problems standing up to the older girls (even as a chick) or telling my huge 10+ lb rooster who’s boss even though she is tiny :lau
