Actually, both are showgirls. i wasn't sure at first as they were just peeking out. But that partridge has a naked neck. i am so thrilled, as i bought partridge showgirl eggs this Spring and all that hatched from them was one white silkie.

i am hard pressed to let loose with a female. They are all so sweet and i haven't reached my saturation point on them yet.

i could, however, give you some hatching eggs from Tony and Twinkle. He's obviously fertile and you could get a white, columbian, or (now, it seems) a partridge showgirl. i only have the one hen in with him now and she isn't laying consistently. But i might be able to get at least a half dozen eggs for you within a 10 day period. i have 3 collected so far.

I might take you up on that when my incubator empties out the first week in December! Can't just let it sit there empty, right?

I just ran an ad on Craigslist for one of my bantam cochins who hatched on Monday. He is the one I call Big Mac. He is not doing well at all in with the silkies. He thinks they are his Momma and tries to force himself under their wings. They are madder than heck about it and pecking him relentlessly but he still tries to duck under their wings. I am keeping him on my desk right now in a little container under a library lamp. I am hoping someone with a broody and no eggs might want him. I hate to see the little guy get hurt and I don't want to set up separate brooders again this morning.

Yeeesh, it's always something.

i just looked for your ad on craigslist. It must not be up. Tell me about your little guy. i wonder if i could stick him with one of my mom and baby groups or if one of my broodies would take him.
