I'm looking for someone to take this sweet Muscovy baby who 1) is experienced, 2) hopefully has other babies it's size, 3) has the time to devote to her and 4) lives within an hour or 2 of Dayton/Chattanooga, TN. Will meet or deliver. My neighbor's kids came over yesterday with this poor baby because her sibling passed away that morning and they didn't want her to be alone so they gave her to me with her food. Well the "food" she's been eating is a bag of grit, so she hadn't had food in a week. I made a mash of flock raiser, scrambled eggs, water, liquid B complex and Vit E gel caps. She is doing better today than she was yesterday and is making some attempt to drink water on her own, as well as eat some mash if I bring it to her bill. She will require a lot of attention so I don't want her to go to just anyone. I will be working next week and then we'll be leaving for vacation on Saturday so I'm afraid I don't have enough time to get her rehabilitated before we leave. I also don't want her to become too attached to me (or vise versa), as my other three 4 month-ers are fairly dependent on my presence but they do have each other. This little girl had a sibling for a week so I know she's feeling lonely right now, as well as feeling weak and awful. She's a little fighter though, and I truly believe she will pull through this will some TLC and a ducky friend. I don't want the loneliness to put her over the edge with her health already in jeopardy. If anyone is interested, please let me know. I want the best for this baby and just couldn't leave it with my neighbors to die. Although I'm trying to help, I don't think I'm the "best" for what this little one needs. Is there anyone who could give this little girl the life she deserves with other ducky babies to grow up with?
