Baby quail feed

You shouldnt have to. Some people say its a must but i dont bother with it and ive never lost one to it. If you feel like you need to teach them just tap the food/water with your finger until they catch on and start eating/drinking

X2....
Out of 1000's of chicks, I never grind feed in anyway, or dip beaks..... I think it is something that makes folks feel they have done all they can for the well being of their birds. The human need to provide the best husbandry they possibly can. But its truly for the breeder not the chicks. This is not hypothetical, every chick I'v ever raised backs this up...... I understand the thought logic but its completely unneeded. I'v never raised buttons so I cant speak to them.....

I only have two hatch-lings until more are due to hatch next weekend. Im trying to care for these two without the company of many. Anyway, they are staying in the incubator in a terry robe pocket but Ive been bringing them out about every[ 2 hours to offer food and drink. The older one by 24 hours has the hang of the eye dropper but neither seem interested in the fine powered food I provide on the terry cloth when I bring them out. They seem to just want to sort of scoot around. They are so quick! It amazes me how fast I can lose track of them.
