Baby Rabbit formula recipe needed now

Thanks guys but I lost the other one too.
The advice will be saved for later in case this ever happens again.
I still think they were just too young plus they were practically dead when we found them.
That may have caused all sorts of internal issues on its own.
Thanks again.

It's awfully hard to save little ones that get that cold. So sorry that you lost both of them, they had more of a chance with you then they would have had almost anywhere else. Not many people would have even tried.

Awww, so sorry to hear that.

To be honest... I expected that would be the eventual outcome, despite your best efforts.

I know from personal experience just how difficult it would be for you to save them. It was very good of you to try, though. I personally believe you've earned some "karma" points for caring, either way!

In answer to baby rabbit formula. I work for a vet, we get a lot of wild injured animals. We have found using 1/2 goats milk and 1/2 water makes a great baby formula for almost all animals. You can buy it in the canned milk section of the grocery store. I mix it up and then pour it into ice cube trays and freeze it. You can then put them in a a freezer bags and use them as needed. Hope they make it.

Sorry you lost your little ones. I didn't see that before I sent my post. Rabbits are tough to raise. You gave them a chance they wouldn't have had otherwise.

One of our worst mother rabbits (that wasnt suppose to be bred) had a litter last night on bare wire instead of in the nest box. She didnt remove any of her hair for a nest either. 4 were trampled and for the most part frozen. The other two looked dead but we brought them in the house and warmed them up and they started moving. They look smaller than usual to me and are sticking to each other, not smooth. (Does that mean they are preemies?) Anyway I happened to have some KMR are gave them some warm formula with a dropper and have them on a water bottle until they can maintain temp.
I need a better formula than KMR and no I cant put them with this rabbit as she is a baby eater, which is why she wasnt suppose to be bred again.

So does anyone have a recipe for New born rabbit formula? I have never tried to raise any this young by hand.

Thanks
Dena
