Chickens do that. It's pretty awesome!! Mommies and babies find reach other by repeating the same patterns. I had two hens raised together that would do this when they could not find one another. Really fun!! Thanks for sharing.
 
I originally thought so too! But, he only does it when he can't find me, and it's so exactly like my whistle. We do it back and forth most every day! Sometimes I sleep in til about noon, and he never makes a peep...just plays on the bed sometimes. Just makes the noise when he's looking for me!
 
chickenfan4life, also, I've got a baby roo out in back that is a month older than Mokiki, and he hasn't even attempted to make any kind of sound other than beep, beep, beep. :)

Mokiki did his first little 'crow' today! It's nothing like the other sound that he makes when he's looking for me
