Thanks for sharing pictures of your lovely Rotti's. :) i love this breed.

We lost our 7yr old Rotti crossed with Australian shepherd to splenic tumors in a sudden onset death in July, it was hard to watch her quickly die. Its a silent killer in dogs which was so shocking. She had hip displasia and both knees had to be fixed. She was so smart, she would dance and smile. :) We miss her so much. :(

We lost another large dog at 5 yrs old two years ago to Ladies death to the day to Lymphoma Cancer. He died in 5 days from becoming ill, the new vet thought Bear had an upper respiratory and he would be fine, he didn't physically examine him, Bear was 100lbs and the vet was nervous even though we muzzled him, he examine him on the next visit to find three lymph nodes were enlarged and did not say he had cancer and that he would die, to send him home, Bear died the next morning at home.

I would love to have another dog, after losing both our dogs the way we did and watching both of them die on their own so fast, it's hard to worry that we may lose another dog so young in the same way. It leaves you in such shock and grief. We miss our dogs so much. :(

Heres Lady.

Oh my goodness! Not really anything cuter than a well bred Rottie puppy. I'm a sucker for stocky puppies.

I've thought about a Rottweiler in the future for myself, but I'm looking for an active dog that can run and hike. I feel like that kind of activity probably wouldn't be too good on this breed.
It's too bad because I absolutely love this breed! They've got the bronze, brains, and looks!
I'll be stalking this thread and watching how this little guy turns out.
