baby Serama got stuck

Baby died last night, It appears the mother could not keep the baby warm, for it was so small and seems to have gotten lost in the bedding. And was not warm enough. From now on, IF I have anymore, Seramas will be hand raised, no broodys. Poor momma, I so wanted her to experience motherhood. I gave her an egg and she seems to have quieted down for now. Maybe I will try and pass off some 3 week old leghorns as hers tonight, but I doubt she will go for it. I do have some more Serama eggs and if one is a larger one I might let her have that one.

I went to the pen this morning and a 4 month old RIR was left out overnight and was dead.
I cant let them free range because of neighbor and I was afraid to go out to coop till after dark to close the door, because I didnt want him staring at me and calling who knows who. They are so sad, stuck in the run.

Three got out when I openned the door to the run and I had a heck of a time chasing them back in. They are just not like this. They are always so good. But, they love their yard time. Its so sad. I am looking for homes for them now

Even though I told the guy I was moving within the next few months, I just cant take it anymore. I cant be assured that I will move in a few months when I havent found a place yet.

awww, so sorry. I am so sorry that you had to deal with these things. Sometimes things are beyond our control and nature has a reason for these things to occur. Hang in there, your in my thoughts and prayers. Kellie

I dont know if you like bantys or not. O yeah I have a pair of female bbred modern games that are just a hoot and sweet too. if you are interested in any of these you can let me know.I would love to see them go to a good home. I have all banties so i would love them. They would have a wonderful home. I free range mine all summer with the option for winter and i spoil my chickens... they eat better then me LOL. I believe eau claire is about 2 hours away but if you were willing to meet half way that would work. I'll talk to the hubby tonight. I see a road trip in my near future lol.
I can take about 4 maybe 5 . I'd love the orps, barred rock, and possibly the d'uccles. Are the d'uccles winter hardy?

Your welcome, and my pleasure. anything i can do to help out doesn't hurt that im totally addicted to chickens either lol. How old are they? just so i can keep track of everyones age.

ETA: my hubby also agreed to let me take them in
