I was hoping someone could help with this:
I have 2 broody seramas that hatched nine eggs, I was watching them to make sure there were no scuffles fighting for the chicks, everything was super until one black chick was born late it seems. All of the chicks are yellow except this one. I noticed its head wound and then noticed one of the mamas pecking at it. Dont know if it was born this way or what. I took it out and have it under a hoop with a heating pad, in a box with food and water. I have some blue kote but it is a spray, it shoots all over so I am afraid to use it. Should I put another chick in with it so its not alone? Just til it heals if its going to. Its super tiny. Maybe something is wrong with it or maybe because its black she doesnt like it. Any thoughts or advice?
