Welcome to Backyard chickens. In Uk you have the large ones, in US we only have bantams. I have never seen a larger silkie. Good luck with yours. If you put "Silkie thread," in the search box it will come up for you.

Chicks peep for many different reasons. They are cold, hungry, thirsty, hot, lonely or hurt. However if they are just softly peeping and don't seem to be in pain or anything, they are fine. Little peeps are totally normal.
