bachelor pen questions

So, it looks like these extra roosters will be staying around at least another week or two (except the ones that became dog food today). I'm thinking of making a bachelor pen for that time. They are all together now, with the hens and I know its too much for the hens. The roosters dont seem to cause actual injury to each other but they do a lot of squabbling. If they are away from hens, will they calm down? They are all adults. Also, if I give them a lot of visual barriers, places to go (like cardboard boxes, etc) might that help?

We had 9 roosters in a bachelor pen for a week or maybe closer to two, and they really didn't fight each other. We had one jerk rooster that kept trying to mate the others, till they started staying on the other side of the pen from him. We didn't have any barriers or boxes in there for them. They had food, water, and shade and a roost. The roost was helpful to the roosters, who didnt want to be "girlfriends".
