I have also put lots of aerial barriers throughout my yard. The back yard looks like a junk yard: Wheel barrows, fence posts, tomato cages, fencing and tarps hung horizontally, 2 chicken tractors, tree branches, sections of cattle panels leaning up against other surfaces. All in an effort to deter the hawks that are calling from the trees around my yard, and doing fly overs all day long every day. I am not keeping the flock in the run... for now. I would also like to string up some CD's on fish line over that section of the yard.

in greece people put aluminium tapes to scare birds.

I don't know the answer but I think I might have the same problem?

Except some of mine aren't wilted and seem to be doing well but have white patches on them

What's wrong with them?

What's wrong with them?

maybe you water them while the leaves are hot. or it was raining after being hot. tomatoes don't like water on their leaves. try to water them on the bottom.

I actually found the solution for bacterial/fungal wilt. I just wanted to see if anyone else thought of that.

I simply chopped sage and put it around tomato plants and watered as usual. within 7-10 days new green leaves grew and there is no sign of wilt. I feel sorry I didn't take a pic when they had yellow patches to compare with what they are like now.

I googled bacterial/fungal wilt and the only result was that there is no cure. then I saw sage that is super invasive and I had to cut it anyway so I thought if sage tea is good for bacterial and fungal infections at humans why it shouldn't be good for the plants too. and it worked.

Yeah, we only just transplanted them the 11th and my dad took the hose and just like dosed them... he did it for 2 maybe 3 days. i tried to tell him he was way overwatering and going to kill them but he didn't listen and also said it was really hot and they needed water.... maybe that did it? :/

I then learned they're supposed to be watered from the bottom so I've been doing that.

And we also transplanted them way too late/big so the roots and plants kinda grew together in the tray so we had to split them up.

Maybe a combo of all did it?

But the other plants are peppers and seem to be growing new leaves and doing well but still have spots but the tomatoes, or some of them, are struggling.

But wow that sounds like a great amd simple solution! Where can I get sage? I don't think we have any wild here

tomatoes like transplanting no matter how big they are. you can cut lower leaves, that will help them become stronger. if you bury some stalk it will develop more roots.

I bought sage in a pot and transplanted it in the garden. I put some stones in the hole before I planted it as it does not like too much water.

Even if some roots were separated? I had them in those trays with the soil pods aha

And thanks I'll try that. I already picked some wilted leaves off but I'll try again and bury the stalk. The peppers are growing new leaves

A few of the tomatoes look dead and others are doing pretty good

Where do you get the sage? A garden store or?

I cut almost all of down leaves and they are fine. I got sage in the garden store but here sometimes they sell it in the supermarkets. I don't know where you can get it in your country but garden store should sell it. I guess if you find dried sage it would work as well. dried herbs are stronger so you can put less.

Thanks for all the info, I'm gonna try all that!
