Back with a few more questions..

Cool.
Was mama setting on the eggs where the rest of the flock could see her for the 3 weeks?
Did the cockerel give the broody any grief/pecks along with the chick?
Did the broody do anything to protect the chick from the cockerel?

I'd keep mama and chick within sight of the flock and try to let them spend time together again in another day or so.
Eventually they will all work it out.

She nested in the big coop where she could be seen by whole flock. When baby hatched i moved her to brooder. The brooder is where the whole flock can see mama and baby when in the pen. The roo gave mama a peck also and she fluffed all up tryin to protect her baby. It all happened so fast and I was afraid of the baby bein harmed so I broke it up. Baby and mama huddled together and mama calmed baby. After a few minutes I picked baby up and checked it for injuries. All looked ok. It continued to walk around and snack with mom. Scared the mess out of me.
