But on the only one I can see well I would say yes.

Thanks. All of them look like that. When they breed will the chicks turn out that way too? Or can it be bred out?

It can show up I'm certain but I'm not one to say how dominant or how long it could take to phase out. Or you could just go to the UK where they appreciate a good vulture hock. ;)

Now I'm looking at the bigger kid's comb.. Is it a single comb? Doesn't look quite right to me but again pics are funny sometimes.

Looking back at younger pics of my guys, some of their combs look that way too and they are definitely good now.. So like I said don't put too much stock into my practice. Others will be along soon..

Yes, the one on the left has vulture hocks. It's extremely hard to breed out - believe me, I've tried! Eight years later and I still have them showing up every now and then.

When they get older does it go away??

It doesn't go away. I have some older Brahmas with vulture hocks. I still love them. Their eggs taste just as good. They just aren't show quality and they aren't good for breeding. This is the "backyard Brahma" thread. We are not as judgmental as the other Brahma thread.

They are all beautiful in my eyes!
