Backyard broiler cooperative

I did forty in the spring they take about 3 lbs of feed per pound of gain .They eat alots of grass but I think that they burn it up by being active . They stand up good and are fully feathered.

Week 3 and my chicks have been doing good .Total out of 162 I think there have been 7 die . I have not lost any of my 41 i put mine outside on day 10 they got good feathers and seem happy. It should interesting to compare end results since every is using different methods.

So just finshed processing birds we only had to do 60 and went smoothly .I had forty and another couple had 20 .They are all geared to go again in the spring .The other person decided to take them to a butcher shop hopefully in the spring I can get about 2 or 3 more people that want to raise small groups of boilers and process them together . I also find joy I in teaching and helping people bring good chicken to there table.
