Backyard Goats????

I'm a member of a couple other goat forums and go there to talk goats. I come here to talk chickens. I often find it too difficult to do both on one list. Usually, that is, but it seems that most times the goat forums with chicken sections aren't as talkative as a chicken forum and likewise. Don't get me wrong though, I would probably still check out a goat section here if it were there.

Hey all! We'll be adding a goat forum to the BYC family shortly. This will be its own site and not a section on BYC.

There are a couple loose ends I need to tie up, but soon BYC will have another little sister forum to join the others listed at the bottom of this page.

We'll keep you posted!

My divorce in imminent now. Can I order divorce papers from BYG???

When the judge asks the reason for the divorce, my hubby will blame it all on BYG.

or maybe on TEG or even BYC. I'm afraid to tell DH that BYG is coming!

I think this is a great idea but I have two main concerns:

1. I am a member of a goat forum, thegoatspot, and I think a goat forum may hurt them because there are many goat people here that belong to thegoatspot, and if there was a goat forum herer they may not go to thegoatspot anymore.

2. If you make a goat forum, please make sure there is a place for dairy people as myself where we can discuss without conflict with boer people.

I think people here want to maintain the same community ties and talk about all things goat. The internet is a huge place, there are other chicken forums and yet we're here, because this is the best chicken forum (and community) out there. It's not a competition, but the better community will flourish, and that's just the way it is. Let's see what happens with BYG and go from there.

I'm sure the two communities can be kept separate and learn to play together nicely ala anything else BYC!​
