We have several scrub jays that have figured out how to fly through the run fencing and freeload on the feed INSIDE the coop. Do I need to worry about bird-borne diseases infecting my 12 week old pullets? They don't seem to mind sharing their feed, and I don't begrudge the bit the jays steal.

One thing I have had to deal with since wild birds found out they could get into my coop - lice.

tie some tin pie plates to the fence...whey they land on it to go through it will make noise and they will fly away.
