Backyardchickens supports criminal behavior

Chickens? What chickens?

My girls fall under the noise ordinance of my city. Lucky my neighbors enjoy listening to their little cooing and bawking around. (I don't have roosters)

OH NO! I've sold chicks to Denver rebels, does that make me an accomplice?

One correction, there has never been a call to ban backyard poultry in Australia. Some local governments have ordinances to ban keeping cock birds, but to date,in my State of NSW, they have never won a case contested in the Land & Environment Court.
The various Depts of Ag/Primary Industries , both Federal & State, consider backyard poultry to be an ideal sentinel should Avian Influenza ever arrive here.

I would actually say, let as many people near backyard flocks as possible. That way, people will gradually become exposed to any diseases the chickens might have, and the chickens can gain exposure to human infections.
