Not everyone likes bacon and I don't think it is the wave of hysterics over bacon. More like devotion to bacon!

I don't like bacon either, so I agree with you. I don't like it cause it's just like eating fat, grosses me out! My husband and kids like it though, so I'll keep in around for them. I just don't eat it.

The convention!!! HELLO!

We have a convention? Ooooooohhhh!!

Rammy

Sadly, not yet. We want Nifty to make us a convention. How fun would that be? And annual BYC convention!!! It could move around the country so everyone gets a chance to go. One year it could be in the south and one year up north. The next out the California area and then head around towards Texas. It would be AWESOME! The only thing more fun would be a BYC cruise. HA!

Slimey deli meat is caused by bacteria, don't eat it.

A few months ago I asked a coworker (who is east indian and doesn't eat any meat) What she thought of the smell of the bacon cooking, She said it was nauseating. I was kind of surprised.

Sometimes I think bacon smells like fish, salmon to be specific. Usually love it, but can't eat it if it's fishy.

I can not believe it would get slimey like overnight! Argh! Throw out time! I ve got a mind to order from the deli to cut off a chuck and bag it up for me and I have my own slicer. I hate to ask, what kind of bacteria am I dealing with?

Some ham is just wet, slicing it cuts into the cells and release the juices. That is different then slimy. Slimy can be caused by Salmonella, E. coli, Listeria, and Botulism among other things. If it is going slimy overnight I'd be wondering how old it is, at the deli. Shouldn't be going slimy that quickly.
