Bacon..Bacon...I hate Bacon

We get ours from a local butcher who smokes the stuff himself.... hands down it is the BEST darn bacon you will ever have!! THICK slices, and smells delish!

It sounds like you are using the super thin slices of bacon and the pan is way too hot; when cooking bacon it should NOT burn. Slow and steady cooking does the trick.... along with a cast iron pan of course!

Maybe trying different brands/suppliers would do the trick......

BBBAAAACCCOOONNNNNNN!! I love bacon. I can't say that enough! I love bacon! And even more so since we started making our own. It's actually one of the easiest meat curing processes you can do. The only thing easier is corned beef, and that only because you don't need a smoker.

Bacon is what the Greeks meant by the ambrosia of the gods!
