bacteria and eggs

I should think if the egg is fresh, its ok, "we" drank egg nog for years without problems...but, you couldn't get me to down any raw egg! Bluck!!!! There are so many other organic forms of protein- soy for example. The dairy in the drinks could be bothering this child, I wouldn't do liquid diet on any child unless its recommended by a doctor. This is setting the child up for future food/eating issues. If it were me, hang up the raw egg - ewwwwwwwwwww!

The raw eggs are concerning but so is the orange juice due to its acidity if the child has an inflamed esphagus. I'm not a medical person, and I am going to assume that the raw eggs and honey will lessen the acidity in the orange juice but I would still question giving it to anyone, much less a child, that has stomach issues.

My daughter use to get a stomach virus a lot when she was a child. One of the first things the doctor told me not to give her any juice that is acidic when she was ill. Instead to give her things like the syrup that is in canned peaches. It is thick and coats the lining of the stomach.

Rather than directly question the lady in question, would it be possible to have a dietician come to one of your meetings or a special meeting and talk about healthy foods for children with these issues? You might be able to address your concerns in advance to the dietician. This way it takes you out of it while adding a professionals viewpoint to the discussion.
