Hi!
I was just looking at my eggs through a torch, and the shell was dottled a bit like this, i read on a page on candling it could be to do with bacteria. Just wondered if it would stop it from hatching and for more information! Thankyou!

Its just a porus egg. If you have other eggs which are non porus and you don't have much room in the battor just throw it out. A healthy chick can form but with an unhealthy shell you will probably get an unhealthy chook. I ordered some crele orpington eggs a while back and 11 out of 12 where porus and not even one hatched. the only one that might of had a chance was one that i cracked open but because it was so porus i couldn't see the embroy growing. :)

Thankyou! is there anything you can do to change it? thanks! :)
So sorry about the late reply, and you can make sure the chooks are healthy and happy, but some chooks are old or the like so other than that you can't really prevent a porus egg unless you know whats causing it first.
