Well, it's simple if you think of it! Just find their e-mail and hit the "reply" button... Word it like this:

"Hello, (insert mother's name here). I'm sorry I didn't get to meet you, too. Seems while {father's name here} was talking to me about the blueberry bushes, both over the phone and on the farm, he neglected to mention something. You see, I purchased:

8- 3 year old blueberry bushes @ $15 each
....
....
....
....
....
....
and a English Yew @ $7.50, which was free.

My total should have been $177.65 and I paid {name omitted} $120. I've sent you for $57.65 via paypal, in order to make up the difference. Herein lies the problem:
The "3 year old blueberry bushes" that I paid for were in fact found to be fresh cuttings with brand new roots. These should be valued more in the range of $8.00-$10.00. Given the fact that I am an understanding person, after all, we all need to make a living, I'll split the difference and call it $9.00.

So, would you please send me a check in the amount of $48.00, to make up the $6.00 difference you overcharged me on these cuttings. I will accept paypal, also.

Thanks for allowing me to visit your exceptional farm, and thans for your understanding. (smiley face)

Yup, you did. I would go with the Amish personally, even if they aren't certified organic, they would probably be a better choice than most. Maybe I say that because I have no Amish close to me.

First time I ever saw an Amish person was when I went to get my chicks.

I agree, when I read the exceptional chickens part, I thought smug. Then after finding out that's the name, I don't know. Some people have a funny way of talking, it would be hard to say without talking to the lady. I hope the bushes do well. You should see the twig I bought at the store, at least I knew it was a twig I guess.

Yes, true about the tone... we have been down THAT road too, eh?

I love what Iowa Roo Mom said... just brilliant! Funny, funny.

However, I have to say, and most would tend to not agree... but I feel like I should just turn and walk away and never go back, so to speak. I'm already not mad anymore. I feel like it is crooked, how they do buisness. However, people/buisnesses like that ruin themselves before they get started. Let me tell you, they barely got started. It isn't like we are talking about a HUGE nursery. This is a bit bigger than a project size operation. They don't have enough going for them to skimp on the customer service and value for the product. Using the work "organic" around here is already a negative to the general population... seen as "hoity toity" or "uppity" or worse... "yankeeish". I'm just saying... I am not originally from here, but yet been here 20 years - these are not the type people who will go there just because "organic" is being thrown around. They work in factories, they repair cars and mowers, the work at walmart/kmart for their livings and right now the unemployment rate is up from 18% to 16%. They won't buy if it is not a great deal. Long story short: They are dead in the water. The one thing that could have saved them - great value and service... is lacking.

#1, i wouldn't have paid the second amount - that was their error....
#2, I would take them all back and get all my money back...cash for all on the spot (bring paypal receipt)

#3 - get a refund for the additional funds you paid and keep the plants... they were falsely advertized. Compromise if you really want them.... but if it were me, I'd take them all back and demand all my money back.
