Bad egg?

Can anyone tell me anything about this egg? There was blood on it and the chicken that laid it seemed to be a little distressed and laid it in the floor of the coop instead of the bed.

Hm, I'm not sure. Maybe the bloom didn't't cover the egg in that spot for some reason? Does it feel different on that spot?

Do you mean nest?
How old, in weeks or months, is the bird that laid it?
How long has she been laying?
I don't see any blood, did you wash it off?

Just a funky coating of probably calcium or bloom.
Blood on outside of eggs can happen, tiny tear in the vagina as egg passes thru.
More common with new layers, nothing to worry about unless it's copious or frequent.

I did wash it off yes. We also just recently had a big serge in weather from cold to hot then back to cold and hot again. Possibly causing some distress. Thank you for the video. Very informative!
