These were both accurate, for me, out of the box. Temp was perfect and humidity was with 2%.

They're 12 bucks right now. My 2 were accurate for temp right out of box, and within 3-5% on humidity.

Yep that's true. Don't use the other types of "salt" though.

For my purposes, MgCl2 at 32% humidity is a better fit than NaCl at 75% humidity.

Seems you know your stuff. One could be wrong on the hygrometer if you tested both sides of the spectrum.

When you're calibrating, within 20% of target is much better than 90%

By my pea brain anyhow.

I run ~45% humidity, then ~65% humidity. About the same either way I travel.

Most people dont have magnesium chloride laying around.
