Bad Incubators, now looking for a new one.

So to start out hatching would you guys recommend a smaller incubator and step up to a bigger one? Or should I just buy the bigger one first? Hopefully, I can figure this out by next chick season. We stopped hatching this year because our hatch rate was so low...

The brinsea I have is very quite. Unless there is something specifically noisy about the turner I’d expect the one you linked to be pretty quite as well as the fan looks about the same as mine.

I’d think if you have the funds go ahead and get the size you’ll want so you don’t have to buy another one. That said, I personally find it useful to have multiple incubators so 🤷🏻‍♀️ Depends on your anticipated use and if it bugs you to have something around you use don’t use all the time.

I tried a bubble incubator it was junk

They show 5 eggs, but chicken eggs you can only fit 3 and they don't all get the same heat.
I also tried the yellow top Chinese incubators they were junk too. And I didn't like the alarms that go off all the time with these.

I had good luck with these 2. Below...
the one to the left was a little giant air, with turner, 0- to-day 18, dry hatch, (good to set and walk away.) and a farm innovators still air for the lockdown hatch part. (Mess)

It works good to have 2 if you stagger hatch. I recently sold the LG. Hoping to slow my incubating, but now I have eggs in just the FI.

This is the incubator we are currently using. We moved it to the house for this batch of eggs. So we can monitor it more closely. We found 12 eggs on the top of bales of hay this morning. 4 were cracked so almost 2 weeks worth of eggs. So we will see if they hatch.

What has your hatch rate been with these. My husband hasn't been cleaning the incubators between uses, so he cleaned it for this batch of eggs. Hopefully the Jumbl incubator does not spike like our old styrafoam one did.

I've been hatching for a few years and I use styrofoam Gqf and Rcom. The Gqf one works good if I can load it up otherwise I have to baby it more but I can still get parts for it that I do every few years. I would not buy another Rcom. Although CS of late has been great, Rcom seems to dump retailers and before long I'm dealing with someone new. It worked great in the beginning but it's been slowing dying since I bought it. And I'm finding eggs hatch better when they can be upright even though it seems manufacturers now all sell bators when lay the eggs down. If you see a hen sit on her eggs some are down slightly and some up. I'm not sure if the eggs being set on are ever flat against the ground for 21 days.

Are you talking about the hovabator as the Styrofoam Gqf?
