Yes it is a good thing. I can sleep a little better with the 8 chicks and Momma out there as well. Until next time. Predators need to realize I am the Alfa predator and they may get a bird or two but I will do whatever is necessary to eradicate them. I sat out there in the dark for a few hours knowing that that kitty would be back I would have sat out there until dawn to get that S.O.B. Two coops have the auto door's. The third did not. Moved the birds and have another $225 door coming on Thursday.

I interrupted her dinner. So she left the hen. I knew she would be back so I waited for her in a nice dark spots on my porch. She was hard to see in the dark

Good job.... Bravo.... Even when you know it is there, it is not an easy thing to hit. The light, they are extremely wary after being interrupted.... I believe hunting a predator like that is the ultimate hunting.... (The ultimate hunting one can do from ones porch)... I imagine that is very satisfying.

Poor chicken poor bobcat I've always loved bobcats

Yeah, I like Bobcats because the eat a lot of my other nemesis, ground squirrels and rabbits! Coyotes too for that matter. They eat tons of mice! But when any predator breaks the rules and kills my livestock or eats my vegetables or chicken food they need to go. I am out here in the middle of nowhere trying to feed my family not the wildlife. Once they find what they deem to be an easy food source there is no other way!
