Bad leg injury skin torn of and possible break

June 17th 2017, Khaki Campbell, Adult Drake, Found hopping on one leg. The injuried leg was held up with his foot flacid looking. an area had some skin ripped off and hanging from the thigh down. it looked like it had bled but was not actively bleeding and foot was cool to the touch.
I brought him inside and sprayed his leg with Bactrim?? Bactine?? cleansing spray with some pain reliever.. Then put him in a filled tub with Epsom salt for about an hour. Took him out, foot was not as cold feeling and leg did bleed a little. I then put antibiotic ointment on it.
The next day I worked until 7pm but gave him anothe bath with epsom salt and applied onitment again after.
I think he may have a break at or near his ankle. He will put the foot down sometimes but I am not sure if he is putting any weight on it at this time.
My questions are should i wrap his ankle or not?
and should I get an antibiotic?

It sounds like a predator got him. A vet would be best, especially for antibiotics and splinting. Antibiotics may be needed if it is an open fracture through the skin. You can still get injectable Procaine Penicillin G at most feed stores in the refrigerated medicines, plus 20 gauge 1/2 needles and syringes. Dosage would be 1/4 ml daily for 4-5 days, injected into the breast muscle. Splinting can be done with padding, popsicle sticks or rubber hosing, and vet wrap. It would help to have a vet set it correctly to line up the bone fragments, in order to heal properly over several weeks. I have not done this, but here is a link or two on splinting:

thank you for the links I am wondering if a modified duck shoe would be more helpful as I think it may be at the ankle.
I am not sure what happened to him but unfortunately I may have caused this. I had added a piece of wire to there pen for more protection and there was a spot, I didnt realize until I looked around after the injury and found, that had an opening that i guess potentially he could have caught his leg in but is unlikely but I fixed the wire either way

I made Moe ( He is from a group of 4 KC, Eenie, Meenie,Minee) a soft split the whole legnth of the leg with a thickly padded wound pad and tape and made a simply shoe with plastic n tape a few days ago. I slathered on some antibiotic ointment before applying the bandage.
The splint is making him put his foot down properly but I do not think he is putting much weight on it at this time.
Later today I plan on taking the bandages and shoe off and giving him a good soak for about an hour. After that I think I am going to put him back out with the gang because I do not think he has been really eat much if anything.
I am not sure if I will leave him out permanantly or just to eat tonight I guess it will dpend on how his leg looks and how he is getting around out there
