I have not posted in a while but I thought I ought to share this with you. Out of the 16 oldest chicks I only have 2 males and one white that might be a male. The odds of this are ridiculous but it happened. I would normally have been happy with a few more hens than males, but not this many hens.

Don't be sad your pecocks will be very happy with all the hens.
My first batch turned out 1 peacock and 4 peahens my second batch turned out to have 6 peahens and 4 peacocks so i will be getting lots of eggs in the furure, it is a good thing IMO

I guess we know where all the hens have gone - you! That's why the rest of us have ended up with all the boys! And I would call that very GOOD luck. We all need to have a peafowl swap so we can even out all of our males/females ratios.

next breeding season you need to sell those eggs with a word that you have better odds of getting females to hatch from them!

I don't think that is bad luck. Sure the peacocks are prettier but it is better to have more peahens for the pretty peacocks. Also you don't have to wait as long for the peahens to get their full color like you have to wait for the peacocks. I was thinking just today how long I will have to wait for Peep to get a decent train. He was displaying at me with his little brown train.

If they were chickens, you'd be in 7th heaven, lol!!
As it is, I'm sure you will have no problem finding homes for all those lovely girls.

Well the thing is I am the only one in my area that sells peacocks really and most people want pairs so I think I will have a few problems selling them
