*bad news* Incubating Double Yolker Dies...

We had a thread and a YouTube video of TWO double yolkers here on BYC that hatched back in 2008. Both needed help.

For the first double yolker both survived. For the second, only one survived. Rare in BOTH instances.
 
I shall follow this one with interest. My Black stars aka Black Sex Links habitually lay double yolked eggs. So it's inevitable that if I don't candle them first, that one or two are going to make it into the incubator that I'm testing out. But as a rule I wouldn't waste my time. A single chick has a hard enough time as it is. But twinning in my snakes seems fairly common yet they are still stuck inside ONE egg. Anyhow, I learned something new today.
 
what makes me worried is spce in the egg for both of them to be fully developed, and when one breaks the air sack would if the other one wasn't ready......
oh well I've been praying to St. Francis (pantron saint of animals)
