Bad news with dewormer

Is there a reason people tend to use goat safeguard over horse or dog?
Yes, cost per mg of medication.
  • Safeguard for Goats = 12,500 mg fenbendazole and costs ~$30 = 0.0024 cents per mg
  • Safeguard paste for Horse = 2500 mg fenbendazole and costs ~$12 = 0.0048 cents per mg
  • Safeguard Large Dog - 666 mg fenbendazole and costs ~11 = 0.0165 cents per mg

She under-dosed.
Not according to this post.
Not too sure....I have two comets two leghorns and 9 easter eggers...so they should range in on 4.5 and 5 pounds
I just did a weight check on my flock. Weights for 3 EEs, 1 WLH, a WLH mix, a PBR, RIR... these birds weights averaged 5 pounds.

If the bird weighed 2 pounds she did not under-dose.

Five pounds gets:
5 /2.2 x 50 /100 = 1.14 ml once for roundworms repeat in 10 days. For Capillary and gapes, give 1.14 ml for 5 days.

The minimum dose recommended was 20 mg/Kg
My books and my vets say 50 mg/kg.
