Bad news...

I've worked plenty of retail and resturant jobs to know that they suck. I hope I do find a place that'll work with the hours I want to work. I hate working for other people though. I LOVE working for myself. Speaking of which...I made 186 bars of soap today!!!

I'm tired!!! I also work barefoot in my backyard and stepped in a drop of lye water, one of my toes was numb for 2 hours.

Don't worry though, there's no lye in the finished product. The soap is perfect and safe to use just hazardous to make.

Hey Southern, maybe you should post your resume on Monster.com and let a job find you? If you have an Employment Security Commission nearby they will enter you in the system and find suitable jobs for you and schedule the interviews for you. You seem to have alot of options and a continual cash flow with the soap business too so you'll be fine. Do you have your soap on a website or ebay? Freewebs.com is, of course, free for a small sized site then a minimal charge for a little bigger site. There are others too that you could market your soap on, or Craigslist or ebay. Best of luck to you

Oh yeah! Southern Essence isn't going anywhere!

I'm actually thinking now I'll try to sell on Ebay for extra $ instead of working for someone else. Then I can continue to make my own hours because I'm not sure if a company would want to work with me with the days/hours that I can work.

I almost always got the hours I want but I think that's because I tell them from the beginning, "THESE are the hours I can work, period!" I'm a little up front like that!

I worked at Bed Bath and Beyond for three years, and over two of those three years, I never worked a weekend, holiday OR night!

Your just gonna have to pray about the situation southern essence, God will tell you what he wants you to do. Here's my testimony: this last August I was out lining up bails of hay and listening to our christian radio station daily as I was in the tractor all summer. I asked God what he wanted me to do after the haying season was over, as I knew we couldn't make it on what we were both doing. He (God) told me (Steph's job) well, Steph was our church secretary, and now I am.
One day our pastors announced they were leaving, and God told me to call my pastor and visit with her. Low and behold she was in the city and was getting some paint. I asked her if she had a sprayer, she said no. I volunteered my time and sprayer to help her paint her house. While there she asked me if I would take Steph's job (their DIL) I accepted right there. It all happened so fast, our pastors are leaving next week, and we are getting a new one in today or tomorrow. They have been here for 16 years, and I have only gotten to really know them in the past 3 years, but of course I moved up here in 2002.

God does answer, and soemtimes we really have to listen to hear his words. I hope you can just do the ebay thing and make it and then some. The Lord says if two or more are gathered together and pray in agreement then he will answer your prayer. Now it may not be what you want to hear but it's what he wants you to do.
