Bad service at Ideal

But in my box that ideal shipped to the grain store they gave me the wrong chicks . I dont see how that is the grain stores fault . Ideal knew what chicks i wanted becasue they were written on the list that ideal had put on the box ??

Hmmm! Is it possible that someone at the feed store did a switch on you? It's just hard for me to believe that Ideal would end the wrong breed; although I've heard of it happening before - just rarely.

The problem is that you placed an order with the grain store, not Ideal. If you have an issue with the order you received you have to go through the grain store to get it fixed. Ideal can't help you because the original order came from the grain store, not you. How do you know the grain store wasn't the one who messed up your order? If they received in a bunch of chicks and then separated them out into the individual orders, then there's a big chance for error there.

The whole situation would be different if you had ordered directly from Ideal. Then there would not be a problem with Ideal correcting any mistakes, plus they wouldn't have charged you for the order until the chicks were shipped.

I'm in agreement with everyone else. I've had nothing, but good service from Ideal. They messed up my order the 1st time around (I ordered pullets and they sent a straight run), one week later I had 9 free birds to correct the first order. I rarely have to wait when I contact them, and when I email I get a quick response. I'd be hollering at the people at the feed store!!

I don't ever really order my chicks, I have a store in the next town that sells fully healthy chicks, and I'm going next week as a matter of fact. Problems do occur, which could account for the 2 deceased turkeys.

Also,if you had ordered directly from Ideal and some chicks had arrived dead, you could have called Ideal and had them either refund your money or send you replacements at no charge. Or both as they seem to do frequently. Live and learn. Next time place your order directly with Ideal. You dont need to place a large order with them and they are great to deal with.

when they called and said the chicks were in i whent there just as the man as bringing the chicks in . They didnt touch any chicks . i seen the list and the grain store gave them the order i wanted . I was not the only one there who had the wrong birds sent .

but i guess next time if i ever get chicks again i will just order through ideal

received my order of chicks from ideal on june 13, ordered 52 only had one doa and i didn't complain about that, I have only lost 2, mother nature not ideal, I'm quite happy with my chicks, the rest of the lot are doing just great . this was my first order from ideal and i'd order again.
