It's up to you if you want to use the penicillin Karen. You did a good job pulling the infection out. Personally I would just continue to clean her ear daily using peroxide and q-tip swabbing it out, then packing with antibiotic ointment. Once you see the swelling going down, repeat treatment as needed until completely healed.

Karen, amoxicillin and clavamox are both good for ear infections as well as the sulfa drug bactrim which for poultry can be purchased as SMZ-TMP. I believe ear infections can be bacterial or fungal. Dawg and Michael probably know way more than I do about ear infections.

Thanks for the support. I 'll continue cleaning the ear and might as well finish the pen since dose 5 is tomorrow. That was exactly like a bumblefoot in the ear.
