The kids and I watched those Saturday sci-fi movies when we had cable. I don't remember many names but there was the snow spiders one that ate the people at the ski lodge.
Then there was the movie where people time traveled to shoot a t-rex,and someone stepped on a bug that resulted in a very bad change in the future for humans.
The cube was good. The pirhanna(s) movie was funny. Recall they were so big they were jumping out and biting buildings. Gotta look up that shark-octopus one.
Speaking of B movies :Attack of the Killer Tomatoes!
OK, the best ever, no kidding. Black Sheep, google it, saw it on tv when I was in Canada, it was so bad I had to find and buy a copy to show my friends, who wouldn't believe me. Watched it three times and laughed so hard each time, my stomach hurt. Not the one with the two sat. night live guys, and I can't believe I can't remember their names! Oh David Spade and the one who died.
I love Science Fiction movies and there is a special place in my heart for the low budget variety. I am really enjoying modern technology of CGI and motion-capture which can now portray these mind stretching concepts. I just bought and watched three times "Mars needs Moms"--LOL. I've lost count of how many times I've watched "Flash Gordon" (the eighties one with Sam Jones) or the animated "Heavy Metal" and "Heavy Metal 2000". You should watch the animation "Battle for Terra", it's not well known, but excellent in story line and concept.
Please allow me to suggest Breeders - a true classic ( can not call it a B movie more of a c- ) ... anyways - I was bored and laying on the sofa in pain with this horrible back of mine --- and was sucked in to this movie from my Netflix - OH my goodness it was too bad to not watch, sick one . Had all the bad movie stuff - big big hair - nasty looking dudes -- walls that move but should not etc...
I love bad SyFy movies. They are predictable and wonderful all at the same time. God Bless Netflix for letting me watch marathons of them, commercial free.
