How about making a plastic bag holder???? A hole on top to toss your plastic grocery bags into the holder and the bottom has an opening that you can pull the bags out to use. Great way to recycle than throwing the plastic grocery bags under the sink!

Wallets are definitely beyond my expertise and frustration level

I'm already backed up on orders for some checkbook covers, and I only started them tonight!!

Here's the last pic of some stuff I made. Already sent a pink tote to it's new home--they are popular!

You could probably sew it by hand, but it would take longer. It's basically lots of hemming. I didn't use a pattern, though; just kind of made it up as I went along

I saw this idea in one of the poultry magazines and immediately broke out my old sewing machine. A 1973 model! I changed feed stores in order to get these pretty bags. I don't even turn the bottom inside out, I simply sew across the bottom a few inches up from manufacturers bottom a couple times. If you want to add some accent color, try a strip of double fold bias tape (sold in 3 yard packages) folded and sewn across the bottom and sew 12" long X 1" wide nylon straps (sold by the foot) for the top handles. It adds a couple dollars to the project but really dresses them up. The pink Layena bags were the prettiest, but I've made up the Layena ;blue ones, beige Grainland Select (also 50 lb), Full O Pep 35 lb.birdseed and my next one is going to be from a (16 lb.) cat food bag. My friends love these things. I would share photos but I haven't been able to figure out how to do that online yet.
