Bait for coons

What do you bait your traps with?

I have heard peanut butter, fish(maybe canned tuna), and cat food(they love to steal it from my cats

).

I used sardines to catch a small raccoon around my house.

Anything sweet use lots of it. Fish and cat food work great but you can catch a cat with that stuff to easily.A cat in the trap means no Raccon in the trap. Good luck

Cat food, leftovers from dinner, etc. Pretty much anything.

Definitely cat food. If I've just processed some birds I use the innards.

Marshmallows work well too and you're not as likely to get neighborhood cats in your trap.

To catch a coon without enticing other critters (cats), use Little Debbie oatmeal cakes or pears. Coons love sweet.
