baked beans??

I havent seen anything about baked beans for a snack or treat, and it is not on the BYC list. Anyone give their girls canned baked beans? I always have them for leftovers. Will it give them diarrhea? I thought they might like the taste.

I have. They love them. Actually they tend to love anything that gets thrown in.

Beans are fine, as long as FULLY cooked. Never give dried beans. I gave my girls a big dish of leftover Ham n Northern Beans last week. They LOVED it!

Mine love leftover "bean with bacon" soup. I use bread to sop up the liquid. They attack it with great vigor!

OMG, I'm so glad to hear it! It is raining/sleeting here in Nh and they are bored to death in there coop. They won't come out. I'll head out and give them their surprise.

Ours spent time in the covered run working on a flock block. We also put a pile of dried leaves and a small pile of sand in the run for them to scratch through.

One thing I've been considering is getting a bunch of live crickets to release in the coop when the girls are locked in.
