Baking

Good grief! Isn't it somewhere in the rules that you can't talk about food without giving the recipes. It could get him banned!

I try to bake bread once a week, its a great stress reliever. Mine never looks as pretty as yours! You have encouraged me to keep trying. Last week was garlic bread sticks.

Quote:
Baguettes:
18 ounces flour
12 ounces water
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon yeast

A large book on how to combine those four ingrediants into delicious bread instead of a brick that a chicken wouldn't eat.
King Arthur Flour has a website that is very helpful. The Fresh Loaf dot com has a wealth of information. Baking bread isn't hard but it requires some sweat equity for sure.

Luckily, my chickens LIKE bricks!

Very impressive! You have got some beautiful breads there! I've been making bread for over 30 years and some of mine don't look that professional. Well done! Last weekend I made multigrain English muffins....this weekend perhaps Scottish baps.

I attempted a "chicken track" motif with todays bake. Not sure that was successful but the breads look good enough to eat. : )

Bagels are easy to make.
I just lost a much longer reply to the interweb gods. See the King Arthur Flour website for recipes.
