You originally stated that your hen is lice/mite free, so there's no reason to treat your hen with anything at all. Here's info about Poultry Protector, see post #2:

She found lice on another one of her hens. If one has it, they all need to be treated.
I just got done rubbing wood ash into everyone's feathers! I had to hold them upside down by their feet in order to really get it under the feathers, which I think I was more upset by than they were. Even though I know its ok to do. So now everyone is puffed up, dusty, and PO'd, haha. I did not spray them with the Poultry Protector today since it is chilly. I figured it wouldn't be good to get them wet, especially under the wings.
