Bald bellies on Barred Rock Chicks...Why??

Posting some pictures of the effected birds, the affected area and their brooder would help in assessing whats going on,

Nope, they're not picking at each other. They seem well and happy. They sleep a lot. Especially the bantams. But they are also active when they are awake.

not a problem hang on a min...

can you hear me now? :

I am sorry speckled hen. I wasn't trying to contradict. I was only stating what mine did and then there would be more views of different accounts is all. My girls are quite healthy and this happened to them so I wanted that to be known as well. Sorry if you thought I was being difficult, I was only trying to give the best answer I could from my own accounts.

I didnt think anything of what you said, so dont worry! I was just trying to add that it really could be nothing at all. I've never seen it in my Barred Rocks, but you'd think Blue Orp cockerels are diseased by how bare they can get before their feathers grown in, LOL. And I mean all over, not just their bellies!

augh I can't post pics right now, My camera just died. I'll post them when I get the battery charged

They're really crappy pics, especially the last two; that's when my camera was dying, so they are blurry. The bald spot is along the breast bone and a little to each side of it. It does seem like I'm being a little paranoid. That's how I was when I had my first human baby

And these are my first chicken babies-with the exception of the 6-7weekers

I didn't see bald spots on my 6-7 weekers when they were getting feathers, so this alarmed me a little. Is there anything that I can or should do precautionarily that won't be overkill lol
