She sounds like she is weak from too little protein. As they get older the molts get harder and it is absolutely crucial that they have a higher protein feed during their molts. If they do not have enough protein they decline. Layer feed does not have enough protein and they do not need the calcium during their molt. Put her on a 20% all flock feed and start giving her Poultry Cell daily (it has amino acids along with a many different vitamins and minerals).

You think 20% is enough or should I even go up to 22% for meatbird feed?

You could go with the meatbird if you wanted. I feed 20% year round, but when it starts to get cold I mix the 22% over the winter. I used to only feed 16%, but I have seen drastic improvement in overall health, molting and hardiness with the increased protein.

now i just give her the layer feed soaked so its easier to eat. yes i gave her some safeguard over a few days and it has been so long i dont even know last time she laid

her new pin feathers growing are mishapen, they are often curved and sometimes dont break the skin like an ingrown hair so i think its curious.
