Bald Eagle?

They're primarily fish eaters.
But like anything else, if they're hungry enough they'll take chickens and are quite capable of doing so.

They're close to the end of the list as possible chicken predators, just ahead of vultures.

Ok, thank you! We get occaisonal visits from Bald Eagles because we don't live to far from a lake/river. We don't live close enough, however, for them to live in our grove. Plus most of our trees are really tall pines, which sag whenever a Eagle lands in it. I am thinking what I thought was a hawk was a juvenile Eagle. (Plus I saw an adult.)
