Thanks. Around here in the Midwest, Bald Eagles are not as common. I did not even see one in the wild until I was in my thirties, because the population had decreased so much due to DDT. And I lived in the suburbs of Chicago where they are still not common. Fortunately, the population has recovered quite well after DDT was banned and conservation efforts were made.Great pics of the Eagles and owl! We have so many Baldies around here. Any which way I drive I am guaranteed to see at least three pairs. We have a few residential pairs that even wintered over here. Most I see nowadays are around to feast on the migrating ducks and geese.
