One of our newest 7 week old chicks, a Barnevelder named Dame Eggy Smith, has been lagging behind the others in most things (all things really). As we're preparing them to join our big girls next week, I'm concerned about her slow feathering, specifically a bald patch on her neck, and if she'll be ready to be outdoors full time.
While we live in NYC and are expecting the weather to only get warmer, it was only 60F today. They've been spending time outside for regular playdates with the big girls and she's seemed fine, but that's way different than being full time outside.
Photos attached. She's got a few "frizzled" feathers right now, esp some around her neck that further expose the bald spot.
Any thoughts would be helpful.
